LAGCOE Education Fund to Participate in South Louisiana Giving Day

LAFAYETTE, La. – On May 10, the LAGCOE Education Fund will participate in South Louisiana Giving Day, a project of Community Foundation of Acadiana.

South Louisiana Giving Day is a 24-hour, online fundraising event to inspire the community to come together to contribute as many charitable dollars as possible to support the work of local nonprofit organizations, churches and schools.

“Part of the LAGCOE mission is to ensure a constant and qualified workforce pipeline for generations to come,” said Angela Cring, LAGCOE Executive Director. “LAGCOE’s Education fund provides the community with learning opportunities about the energy industry, such as the Energy Unearthed exhibit at the Lafayette Science Museum, Light & Learn with LAGCOE at the Oil Center Festival of Lights and the Future Energy Professionals Student Tours.”

Beginning at midnight on Thursday, May 10, donors can visit www.southlouisianagivingday.org/LAGCOE and make a donation to the LAGCOE Education Fund. Donors currently have the option to schedule donations of any amount, through 11:59:59 p.m. onThursday, May 10. As a special thank you gift, donations scheduled before Friday, April 20 and exceeding $40 will receive a commemorative LAGCOE t-shirt.
