M. Al-Barghash Co. (MBTC) has become a trenchless technology contractor with its first Prime Drilling machine.
The 100 per cent Saudi-owned company has been engaged in pipeline construction throughout the oil and gas industry since its establishment in 1976.
In 2018, MBTC was awarded a seven year contract for onshore maintenance potential projects including the installation of 500 gas and oil wellhead facilities as well as roughly 2,000 km of pipeline construction in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s south.
Now, MTBC has become a trenchless technology contractor after importing its first Prime Drilling machine and experienced staff to expand its abilities with this technology.
The company said it will now be able to execute its own horizontal directional drilling (HDD) activities by using the Prime Drilling machines.
“The idea is to add three more HDD machines to increase our fleet by 2021 to accommodate our project demands,” said MTBC.
Based in Germany, Prime Drilling offers expansive HDD systems and equipment to contractors across the globe.
